Maurice Jakesch joined Cornell University in 2017 as a PhD student in Information Science. He works in the Social Technologies Lab and is lucky to be advised by Mor Naaman. He’s a fellow at the Cornell Tech Digital Life Initiative and the German National Academic Foundation.

He holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from ETH Zurich, an MS in Information Technology from the Hong Kong University of Science & Technology, and an MA in Philosophy of Science and Technology from TU Munich. He also got a Technology Management degree from the CDTM, Germany’s coolest innovation institute.

He interned with Microsoft Research, Facebook Core Data Science, GE’s Digital Foundries, and BMW Connected Mobility. He helped to develop TeleClinic and volunteers for the MIT D-Lab Innovation Network.
